Are you interested in volunteering your time in your specialty are?
We are looking for doctors, nurses and other medical personnel to come join a future mission to Vietnam where you will spend a week in a hospital.
What will I do?
Once you are approved and committed to go, we talk with you and discuss your medical specialty. We explain the needs of the hospital and prepare you and brief you on what you can provide. In most cases, you will be paired up with a Vietnamese doctor(s) in your same area of specialty. You will bring your skills, teach, train, and demonstrate surgical techniques (if applicable) in the operating room.
Most likely you will be there for 5-7 days not including travel days. Charaplast arranges the hospital location and hotel arrangements. We usually have anywhere from 3-10 other doctors with you at the same time in the same location.
A Charaplast representative is there to introduce you and set you up with the people you work with.
At this time, you are responsible for all travel and hotel and lodging costs. You can expect airfare to be around $1000-1200 and hotel is typically $20 a night. We will work with you on travel times and locations.
