Our Work

What we do and how you can help

Medical
Charaplast seeks out to find areas in the world where doctors are badly needed to help people.

We are looking for volunteer doctors, nurses and other medical personnel in all specialties. We also need other personnel in the medical fields for logistics, translation and support.  Medical instruments and supplies are also needed.   Medical equipment and supplies are desperately needed in the areas where we bring medical relief. Your donations are tax deductable in the USA. If you can donate anything from bandages to large size medical equipment, we can provide them directly to the areas of need.

We also seek monetary donations to purchase the equipment and supplies and deliver them directly to the hospitals and doctors.  All purchased supplies are handled by our doctors and distributed by the doctors during a mission to the country.

Monetary donations are also needed to help send a doctor on a mission to the other countries to do their work.  The doctors donate their own time but need assistance to be sent to the country where work is being done.

Build a Home
If you are interested in sponsoring a home to be built for a family, please contact us through our “contact us” page.  This is done through a monetary donation. Your donation will see a new house built and dedicated to whomever you desire or not at all.  It takes about 3 months for the house to be built.  All houses will be built under Charaplast supervision.   You will be supplied with the name of the family and the exact location of where the house was built as well as pictures. To build a new home for a family in the province of Cambodia or Vietnam costs about $650 USD.

Education

Scholarships
Charaplast sponsors University students in Cambodia offering them a chance for a  higher education degree that they would not otherwise have access.  In turn, these young adults will enter the workforce with skills providing them more upward mobility. We need sponsors to support more young people through school. .  If you are interested in sponsoring a student through University in Cambodia, please contact us through the contact us page. Scholarships for University students are done on an individual basis. We match you up with a particular student and you become a mentor/friend for life (if you so choose).  The cost for one year of University tuition is $650 USD. We have a manager in Cambodia who monitors the students at all times as well as the tuition payments.

Education support
We support the schools in Cambodia and Vietnam by donating badly needed supplies for school children as well as computer technology.  Charaplast collects small items such as pens, pencils, paper, notebooks and backpacks that are then sent to these countries where they are distributed to the students. At the current time, we prefer to purchase the items in the home country as it is easier to get more supplies per dollar donated.  Charaplast manages all purchases and distributes them as well.
